How To Submit Listings

Please follow these simple guidelines when lotting and shooting your auction items.

Descriptions:

Please use this Excel Template for Vehicles or this Excel Template for Miscellaneous & Surplus to enter your data. Please use 1 spreadsheet for each auction. *DO NOT use a different spreadsheet / worksheet / tabs within a spreadsheet on a lot per lot basis*.

  • Identify each item (or group of items) with a lot number.
  • The title line is limited to 45 characters.
  • Provide quanties or approximate quantites of items in a lot whenever possible.
  • Descriptions can be as long as you like, but please use ONLY 1 CELL for the entire description. If you have more than 1 item in a lot, please use a semi-colon ";" or a period "." to separate items in a lot. DO NOT use any tabs, hard returns or quotation marks when entering data.

Images:

*PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE A LOT TAG / LOT NUMBER IN PICTURES*
This helps us, you and the bidders to confirm the right pictures are posted on the correct lots.

Your images should be no smaller than 1000 x 750 pixels and in landscape (horizontal) format ONLY! We recommend that you shoot all images in a medium to small setting on your device. Shooting them at the larger default setting will cause them to load / send slower due to their larger size.

We ask for a minimum of 4 pictures for vehicles (front / driverside, back / passenger side, interior through the driver's door and engine with hood open).

For miscellaneous, please provide at least 1 good quality shot of the item(s) for the lot.

All images should be named with the lot number as indidcated in the Lot # Column on your Spreadsheet. Please DO NOT USE CAPITAL LETTERS if when adding them to the lot number names.

Lot 1's images should be named: 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d or 1 (1), 1 (2), 1 (3), 1 (4)
Lot 2's images should be named: 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d or 2 (1), 2 (2), 2 (3), 2 (4)
Lot 3's images should be named: 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d or 3 (1), 3 (2), 3 (3), 3 (4)
etc...

Images can be uploaded onto our Dropbox Account, may be saved to a thumb drive and mailed / dropped off at Lone Star Auctioneers Fort Worth office. We prefer that you do not send images through email if at all possible. Some email servers are limited in the size of file they can send in an email. The usualy restriction is set to 5 MB. We strongly recommend that you try to upload them into our Dropbox Account to avoid issues from arising. Please contact us for the DropBox Account instructions.
